My sister is due with her second baby in November. She is now thinking about all the baby gear she will need in having a second child and has started shopping online. Smart girl! She is currently looking for dual transmitter baby monitors and a baby jogger stroller. Both ideas are great. It's actually given me ideas of what I can buy for them as a gift too. They have most of what they need...but adding a second child in the mix does leave some things that will be needed.

Ok...this is probably the neatest and weirdest thing technology related that I've heard lately. Alzheimer's is a disease that touches many people's lives. Either you or someone you know has Alzheimer's probably. For me it is my Grandma. She's suffered from it for years and today knows no one. She is in a baby state and doesn't even talk. It's sad. Thankfully she's well taken care of in a nursing home...when she was still living at home she'd wander off and that was very scary. I'm sure many people know what this is like. News Travels Fast

I am finding it amazing how quickly word gets out about things. I am here in D.C. experiencing this whole Holocaust shooting thing first hand...while my sister is calling me at the same moment telling me she's hearing about the same thing. Then...just minutes after the shooting they've already identified the shooter and let the world know via tv. I know I shouldn't be surprised by this...but when I stop to think about it technology still amazes me. It's such an impressive thing how fast news travels.

New Website

Recently I have been putting a lot of time and effort into creating a new website for my place of work. I apologize if I have been neglecting this blog some. I'm working full time and then at night have been working on creating our website. I'm not complaining in anyway though...as designing and creating websites is something I really enjoy. However, like most people know...it's just something that takes time and isn't always easy. Hopefully the end result will be very impressive...I know my bosses are depending on that. I'm on vacation for the time being, so I haven't been working on it like I should, but once I'm back home I will get started on it again.

Weather, News, and More

I don't know about you, but I hardly ever even watch the news anymore on TV. It seems all the information we could ever need is right here online. It's so much more convenient for me to look into what's going on in our world today as far as the news gos, weather and more. The convenience of technology is great, but it often does make me wonder where we'll be in a few years with things continuing to advance. Will we even have the News on television anymore? Will there be more people out of jobs?? Something to think about.

On Vacation....

For those who may be wondering....I'm on vacation and may not be posting as much as I typically do. I am relaxing and enjoying time spent with family! It was a much needed vacation and one I'm enjoying very much. We're eating lots of great food and the stresses of life are out of my mind for the time being....which means diet pills may be a necessity and the acne treatments I was looking into from all this stress are out of the picture! All I know is I'd rather be visiting great places like New York and Washington DC than sitting at home right now! I'll update once I return!

Now That's Convenience

These days a person can sit at home and pretty much find or buy anything they need by use of the Internet. I think it's great! It even makes jobs easier. For instance....today I was sitting at work searching the web for industrial products and it took me no time at all. Years ago people in my position probably had to search through magazines and make their orders that way. How time consuming!! I think it's great the convenience the web has brought us. There are pros and cons...but for the most part it's a great thing!

Sleep Number Bed

My sister and her husband are getting ready to move. The problem is...the house that they're going to move into will most likely be smaller than the one they have now. Because of this they are getting rid of some things, including one of their sleep number beds. They love it...but just won't have room. I am actually in need of a bed, and who wouldn't want a sleep number bed, right?! The thing is.....one of the air chambers is leaking air...so I've been online looking to see if I can find one to replace it. If I can then I think it will make a very nice bed!
