Thank goodness for the Internet. If it wasn't for the technology we have today, many people would find it hard to figure out how to go back to school and have a job at the same time. I know my brother was in this situation and thankfully found online universities which have made his life a lot easier. He could get his masters and keep his full time job at the same time. How great is that?!! I don't know about you, but one of the universities online that I've heard a lot about is Capella university online. I recently was reading a press release about this fully accredited online college and learned that they are well respected among online universities and offer a quality place for people to pursue a number of programs. There are no limits!

I have a friend at work who is very into horses. In fact, he is looking into buying one of his own...as he has the land to do it. I think it's great, and was asking him if he'd looked into getting all the horse supplies that he would need. He hadn't thought that far, and began searching online over our break. Not surprisingly, he found a ton of information and useful resources where he can purchase these things online. I knew it would be easy to do using the Internet, but he was doubtful until he got started.

The Downside

So...I'm always praising how far our technology has come.....the great things and convenience it has brought us. However, as i watch the news night after night I have to admit that there are definitely some downsides to having such a public way to get in contact people like the Internet. Did you see the media covering the Craigslist Murderer? If this truly did happen, which it sounds like it did....it goes to show that the Internet can be good for something, but also very dangerous. Yikes!

Diet Pill Research

Diet pills are becoming the new thing for many people try to lose weight in a hurry. In fact, this is probably the most popular time of year for people to buy things like this...as summer is right around the corner and that means swimsuit season! I don't think it's wrong for people to want a healthier lifestyle, but I'm not sure I'm sold on the whole Anoretix diet pill thing. I think I would have to do a lot of research before committing to a weightloss regimen like this. Thankfully the Internet allows us to research and find answers to almost every question we have....so it would be fairly simple to find factual information on the topic of diet pills, their effectiveness and safety.

Internet Pros and Cons

The nice thing about having the Internet is that we can research so many useful things. Whether it's Mesothelioma treatment or drug rehab programs....we can find a wealth of information in a matter of minutes if we want. The negative to having technology like this is that there is also a lot of bad that comes from having such a thing like identity theft and more! I guess we all need to make sure that we're using the Internet safely and smartly.

Shopping Online

With buying my first place I am really starting to learn how broad the Internet is when it comes to online shopping. I didn't realize that you could buy everything from paint to Grohe faucets. I guess it will be fairly easy to find everything I need. Maybe I won't even need to leave the house. That's my kind of shopping!! I have done a little shopping, but not much yet. I prefer browsing the web and finding the perfect options. If I'm in a store i don't have the convenience of having such a broad number of items to compare.

Job Training Online

Remember when you'd start a job and you had hours and hours of training to go through before even getting to the point where you do the job you were hired to do? Now with the technology and advancement of the Internet, many of us can do much of our sales training and other sorts of work training right online! It makes it easier for the employer and the employee. It's something you can do from anywhere most times too which is nice.

Facebooking During Work

Do you ever find yourself sitting at work on the Internet doing personal things like checking your e-mail or even Facebook?? I know I do. Sometimes during a long and busy day it's nice to take some time to recoup. Many are surprised by the recent findings that time online actually helps to make someone more productive at work. It's true though. Those that browse the web during work hours have proven to do their job better. I thought this was very interesting and gives us all a reason to justify doing it during work, right!? ;)
