Blackberry Pearl Flip Comes to CDMA

The FCC has recently approved a CDMA version of the BlackBerry 8230 Pearl Flip. The documents note that it has EVDO data and Bluetooth. Bell has launched the Pearl Flip in Canada. It includes a 2 megapixel camera, GPS, and Bluetooth 2.0. It is selling for $30C with a three-year contract. No U.S. carriers have announced plans to sell this BlackBerry, but it is compatible with Sprint and Verizon Wireless's networks.

Medical Supplies Online

The availability of everything imaginable online these days is quite impressive. I can't believe some of the things you can find online and buy, like diabetic shoes for instance. For instance, Allegro Medical is a company found online. They were founded in 1996 and have grown to include 1 million customers....thanks to the Internet. They are now one of the largest and most technologically advanced independent owned online retailers of life enhancing products in the US like Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear. If you're interested in learning more about what this site has to offer you can head over there today. It's actually very user friendly and easy to use.

IPhone 2.2.1 Firmware

Now available is the IPhone 3G Firmware 2.2.1. This firmware gives you the ability to use Google Street View and over the air Podcast downloads from iTunes. Users beware, for people that have IPhones that are Unlock and are using them on Networks other than AT&T, this firmware has the ability to lock your already unlocked phone. If you still want the new firmware but don't want to lock your phone you can do so by using a custom firmware which excludes the base banned update. Go to blog.iphone-dev.org to learn about installing the custom firmware.

Online Shopping

I have to admit that shopping online has become quite the weakness for me. I find it almost too easy to hop on my computer and make purchases that I could otherwise walk in the store and make. It's definitely made my life a lot easier...I mean, who wouldn't want to shop from the comfort of their own home and have things delivered right to their doorstep, right? The option of online shopping that the Internet has given us is amazing. It really makes me wonder where we'll be in 20 years when it comes to this topic?! Will we all be shopping from home, even for things like groceries?! Who knows. All I know is that the sites which make it possible to purchase online, especially those which offer deals like Cyber Monday, etc...I will continue to shop with.

Assistive Technology

Often when I think of 'technology' which is what this site is all about...I think about computers, cell phones and that sort of thing. However, recently I was ready about the technologies available to those with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, and came to appreciate the broad spectrum to which this word lends itself. The mobility options, and other assistive technology options, people with disabilities can find the tools which will help them out in their daily lives. I think it's great and plan on learning more about the broadness of the word 'technology'.

Verizon is Changing...

Verizon Wireless has now made it possible to have a calling circle much like that of Alltel (which makes sense since Alltel will become Verizon Wireless shortly). I don't know about you, but this has been a great addition to their plans for my family members and I. I am not with Verizon, however all of my family members are...so they now have me in their circle of friends which has made it very convenient. I think it's great that they are making some of these changes which will benefit customers, it's exciting to see what other changes they will make.

Wedding Planning Online

The Internet never ceases to amaze me. I'm sure I've said that a thousand times, but I am shocked at all we are able to do thanks to the technology among us. For instance, I was recently talking with someone about their upcoming wedding, and they said all along they've been using TheKnot.com for all their local wedding resource needs. They were able to find Local Wedding Vendors, wedding photographers, wedding venues, and even florists by use of this site. Although I'm sure they could have gone online and searched each of these things individually, I was impressed that there's a site like TheKnot.com which offers them all in one place. I'm sure for those busy bride's and grooms this is much appreciated.

Creating NBA Jersey's Via Video Games

Now this is a pretty cool story. All of us have played video games, and many of us have played those where you create jersey's for your players on Basketball games, etc. What's different this time is that 18 year old gamer, Tim Ahmed from Long Island created a custom jersey for a virtual NBA player on his video game and actually entered it to later win the EA Sports' NBA Live 09 Jersey Creator Contest!! Isn't that amazing?! How great would that be to be playing around with a video game and later see your creation on the basketball stars themselves. I really found this story to be neat and thought I'd pass it along!

Affordable Shopping Online

I'm learning all there is to know about home decor now that I'm about to purchase my very first condo! This is very much thanks to the internet and all the information I have been able to find on modern colors, Hansgrohe faucets, and other decor. I'm really looking forward to starting over in a new place...it's like a new chapter in my life. I'm h aving a lot of fun shopping online for everything I will need. If you do the right searching, it's easy to find cheap things.

Finding Furniture Online

I am currently in the market for a condo. I have found a couple which means new furniture is about to be bought! I am thinking that some Berkline Home Theater Seating would be perfect if I have the space. Of course, this is me we're talking about, so online shopping is the only way to go!! I love it, because I don't have to go to stores to do most of my shopping anymore. I can come home from work and do all the shopping I need from my couch! I wish I could buy a condo that way...haha.

Make Money with eBay

My sister is actually embarking on the eBay business side of things, and so far it's going better for her than it did me. I think she has more time to spend doing it, so that helps. She is actually utilizing a dropship company, which so far she really likes. This helps to cut out the shipping for her...in fact, all their items are shipped for free. She's offering everything from baby items to a nice IWC watch. I suppose eBay can be more profitable with a dropship company, rather than just doing it yourself. Less work too....

Making Money Via the Web

There are many ways to make money online...but two of the easiest ways are probably either through blogging and eBay. If you would have asked me two weeks ago which I preferred, I would probably recommend eBay. However...I have learned that not only are there some very dishonest buyers out there, but eBay also takes a large portion of the amount you receive. Between their fees and Paypal's fees the profit is minimal. I think it's a good way to make a little extra cash, but definitely not a "get rich quick" job. I am still searching for that!

TV Stands Online

I've decided it's time to find a new tv stand. I've been talking and talking about it, but finally decided to get it. I have been searching online (as I always do to do my important shopping), and have found a few that would work perfectly. That's the great thing about the web....no matter what it is you're looking for, big or small, it's possible to find it right form the comfort of your own home. To be honest, if it weren't for a need to get out every once in a while, I would be happy to do all my shopping online!

Uses of Excel

I've always been fairly good with the computer, however with the job I currently have, I am getting better and better at using simple programs like excel. In fact, my family members even ask me to create them for them to help them stay organized and on top of things. My sister was the most recent...as she is starting a home business and needed something to keep track of customers and orders. For anyone who has a need to stay more organized, simple tools like excel are a great option. Try it out!

Ad Blocker Software

The Internet is a great thing, however like many users...I often get irritated with all the ads I come in contact with. Whether it be pop ups or advertisers...it's definitely something that limits the time I have to do actual work online. Thankfully there are things out there to help...it's just a matter of searching them out. I for one am a big fan of the Ad Muncher. This Ad Blocker Software helps to block ads no matter what browser you're using, protect your privacy, blocks a lot of the spyware and adware problems we deal with as well as a way to working more quickly and smoothly online. I was impressed with this software and thought there would be others out there who would be as well. You can learn more by checking out their site at Admuncher.com. You can even Try Ad Muncher now by use of their free trial offer.

Track Your Children Anywhere

Who would have thought when the first cell phone came out years ago, that one day we would actually be able to find where are kids are simply by checking Google Maps?! I know I wouldn't have! Today I read that Google is upgrading their mobile maps and wants to help track people by use of mobile phones and other wireless devices. I think it's really great that there's an option like this out there, I'm just surprised it's here so soon. I figured it would be a few years before anything like this was created. I am guessing many parents out there are celebrating. The first thought for me that came to mind was that of privacy, however after reading further I found that the user can turn it off to limit the service which is great too. That way people do not feel their privacy is being invaded. It's all very interested and I'm anxious to learn where they go from here!
