I am always up for learning new things when it comes to computer software and technology....especially when it can help businesses and other people out in the process as well. Recently as I was doing some research online about up and coming software, I came across some rental property management software that I thought was worth sharing. http://onsitepropertymanager.com is a site that offers a web based, free 60 day trial offer of their software. From what I've learned, this is a company that wants to help landlords do their work more efficiently, as well as bring in more money as well. I'm sure anyone else interested in technology and the internet like me has heard of the new Cuil (pronounced "cool") search engine being launched. For those of you who may not have heard....Cuil is not just another little search engine. No...this is one launched by some of Google's former lead engineers. Many people are discussing the possibility of Cuil being bigger and better than Google...so far this does not seem to be the case. This is just a side note because I'm quite excited. Typically I am very adamant about writing only about technology related issues. However, soon I will have a new love....a kitty. Lately when online, I have noticed an increased amount of ads that pop up while I'm browsing certain sites. Sometimes It seems that they are relevant to what the reader might want to see, while other times it is not. For instance, do I really need to see sexy swimwear ads on a technology related website?? NO! Do you ever come across this frustrating reality of the wonderful web? As many know, I try to stay up to date on all that goes on in the gaming world. Aside from that, I also enjoy sharing my findings with others who are interested in staying informed. Recently I read a release about Playstation 2 and the debate that has gone over the rare metal, coltan, that must be used to make it. It is in such high demand that prisoners of war and even children have been sent into dangerous mines to find it. Sony is getting a bad wrap because they have increased the demand for it. Of course there are two sides to every story...but this is just what I read and it definitely caught my attention. -

One thing I've always thought would be fun to have is a camcorder. With the technological advancements today...they make them so convenient, small and digital...that there super easy to use and take with you no matter where you go. My sister actually has one, so recently I was asking her how she likes it. She said that it's great, but that she uses the video option on her digital camera just as much, if not more. I thought this was interesting and actually realized that this would not only be just as convenient for me to do, but would also be cheaper. What do you think? Surfing the web is something I do often. I think the internet is a great invention and something we all should take full advantage of! There's just so much out there waiting to be learned and found. It's simply at the click of a button. What a wonderful resource it is. Recently I was browsing as I typically do, and I came across a tactical gear site, Brigade QM. Usually a site not dealing with technology wouldn't catch my attention as much, but tactical gear and supplies really brings back memories of when my dad was involved in a tacticle team and it was really great looking through their site and all they offered. Being an engineer at a reputable company like John Deere, I can proudly say that I have learn dmore about design and computers than I ever have in my life before this year! It's been great! Not only am I doing very well in my current situation at work, but I also can use my skills to help family and friends that need it as well. For instance, just recently my sister came to me asking if I'd help them design a piece of furniture that would cover their sump pump. This was a challenge I was ready to take on...and I was able to use my designing skills and software to come up with the following! I was pretty proud of my work, and she and her husband really seemed to like it as well!! Now we just have to put our plan into action... -

I like the cell phone that I currently have...however I would definitely like to get a new one in the future. For me it's nice to get a new phone every year or so. So what phone am I looking into? Well, the iphone of course! Some people may think that it's crazy to spend that much money on a cell phone, but for someone who is into electronics as much as I am...as well as on the phone and using it as much as I do...it's well worth it. I've talked a couple times about my picture taking hobby now that I have a niece and nephew. I'm sure others can relate. Well, I'm still in the market for a new camera...however I think I've narrowed it down to the one I want. When I was home visiting my family this weekend, I saw my sister's new Kodak camera and it is exactly what I'm looking for!! The best part is that it has all the features I want, and is a terrific price as well! It's a Kodak EasyShare Z712 7 Megapixel digital camera! I'm going to do a little research on it before I buy for sure, but it looks like it will probably be the one I choose. Have you ever had experience with this model? I don't get a lot of free time seeing how I am working most of the time, but when the weekend comes around that's my time to relax. As many people probably already know, one of my favorite things to do when I have free time is mess around on the computer. Whether it's gaming or designing...that's what I love most!
Browsing the web I often come across some pretty neat sites. Today I took a look at an independent developer of downloadable mac games and Windows games. I was really impressed with the games available. Obviously seeing how I have a mac, a mac game is what I was most interested in finding...but I still thought the selection was outstanding and layout made it so easy to use!

I've talked many times about the wealth of information that the internet offers and what a great piece of technology it is in each of our lives. I for one can't imagine my life without it. I know that there are other people who feel the same way that I do, especially those who make money online for a living. For instance, there are many stay at home moms who blog for money. Have you done, or heard of this before? It's actually quite a nice extra income once you get started and definitely worth looking into if you're looking to make more money from home. It's something I have done in the past and really enjoyed. 6:44 PM New Bluetooth Headset-Motorola H700
Recently I was looking for a new bluetooth that would make it easier to talk while I'm at home and busy doing other things. I came across a Motorola H700 Bluetooth Headset on Ebay coming all the way from Hong Kong. I decided to buy it, as it was a super great deal at only 18 dollars with shipping!! What I liked best about it was how small it is and the great audio and microphone that it has. I'm excited to get it in the mail and try it out. I'll keep you updated. -

A little more on my cell phone situation. Do any of you have the Tmobile Dash? That is what I currently have, and although it has a lot to offer, I'm just not sure yet if it's for me. For anyone who may not be familiar with this phone...but interested in learning more....the Tmobile Dash is a Windows Mobile 6 device with HTML email capability. It can be used as a Bluetooth modem for my mac, GPRS and WIFI internet access for instance, and it has full exchange server capability, which means that my John Deere email (for my job), calendar, and contacts are all pushed over the network to my phone in 'real-time'. It's pretty neat all that it can do...but I'm just not sure if it's the phone for me yet?!? I'm going to have to give it a little more time and see what I think. -

11:00 AM New Digital Camera
I have never been someone really big into cameras. Up until my niece and nephew were born last year...taking pictures was not my thing at all. As it's obviously become something more and more important to me, I have been doing a little research and looking for an upgrade to the camera I already have. It's actually been kind of fun since it's along the lines of technology and electronics. Right now I have a simple Sony Cybershot Camera. I really like it, but must admit that it leaves a lot to be desired. I don't need something that will put me in the poorhouse, but have been looking at some of the Kodak's out there. I thought this was really neat and also brought back memories of when my grandparents gave me a book just like that. 4:22 PM Update on the BlueAnt Hands Free Blue Tooth
I recently discussed the option of getting a BlueAnt Hands-Free Blue Tooth for your vehicle and how I had just got one. At that point I hadn't had it long, so I wasn't able to tell you much about it other than it was a safer choice when driving than holding your telephone or typing in numbers. I still really like it....but I have learned some downfalls to having it as well over the past couple of weeks that I've had it now. One of the big issues I've been having is the fact that if I get out of my car and am still talking on my phone I have to switch over to my phone obviously. This is just kind of an inconvenience. Also...I have been having some problems with it recognizing the names I say I want to call. I suppose there are always downfalls to letting technology do work for us. Overall it's still a really great thing to have. -

Isn't the internet a wonderful resource? Some days I don't know what I'd do without it! The overwhelming amount of resources and information that can be found at a click of a button is simply amazing. I don't know about you, but browsing the web can be a learning experience in itself. Recently I was doing this and happened to come across a site that I thought many could relate to...especially with the way our economy presently is. As always...when I find a site worth passing on, I don't think twice.

I was just talking with someone the other day about the debt many people are facing these days...and the difficulty of managing it. Having just had this conversation, a site like this really stuck out to me. Have you ever been faced with difficulty financially?! It's no fun. In my own experience, debt doesn't have to be all bad...it's how you manage it that's the most important. If you continue to live within your means and spend only what you can afford you won't find yourself getting deeper in debt. I don't know about you, but recently it's been quite hot and humid out. With the humidity, I am also feeling it in my apartment. It got me thinking about all of my electronics and the effects it might have on them. As I thought more about this, I decided to do a little research to see what I could find. Not Surprising, and unfortunately...I found that humidity can definitely have a negative effect on electronics. It's important to have just the right amount of humidity in your place if you want your electronics to last and not have problems...not too much and not too little of it. Right now I am more worried about having too much and the possibility of corrosion in my things. That's why I decided to go out and price dehumidifiers. In trying to keep up with the technological times, I find myself always wanted to upgrade the electronics that I have. One of my absolute favorite possessions at the moment is my MacBook Air. I had a MAC laptop before I bought this...but the minute it came out I knew I had to have it!! It was a bit spendy, but well worth every penny. I spend an awful lot of time on my computer...both at work and at home. I love the options it offers, as well as the convenience of having such a small laptop to carry from here to there. If you're like me and find yourself working on your computer no matter where you are....the MacBook Air would be a great choice for you. More and more states are now outlawing people from being on their cellphones while they drive. It has yet to happen in the state of Iowa, but I can only imagine that it will only be a matter of time. Don't you think?? In thinking that it will be happening soon, I have prepared myself with the latest piece of cellular technology...the BlueAnt. Ever heard of it? The BlueAnt is a hands-free bluetooth car kit. It's totally amazing. BlueAnt is smart enough to connect to my phone right when I get in it, and instead of hearing my phone ring, BlueAnt tells me who's calling. It is so clear, not only for me, but for the people I am talking to. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is in their car a lot and needing to talk on the phone. Ever since I began working on my MAC and designing with Photoshop...I've come up with some pretty amazing creations. In fact, those that I've passed on to family and friends, have now been asking me to make something for them. My sister has asked me to create something that she can frame and hang in her kitchen which I thought was pretty cool. She gave me guidelines, and has left the rest up to me. I will definitely be sharing pics once I've got it finished. Creativity is endless when you have the right resources and technology. -

One interest besides technology and electronics that I have never shared with you is cars! Whether it be new or old cars...this is a hobby I also thoroughly enjoy! I not only like finding great cars for myself, but also enjoy surfing the web (one of my favorite hobbies), and finding great deals and places to share with others. As I was searching the other night, I randomly stumbled upon Pacific Nissan. Have you ever heard of them before? I hadn't, but was quite impressed as I learned more about them and thought you might be too! They are an established Nissan dealer in the San Diego area.
Have you ever been searching for a car, but just can't seem to find the one you want at the dealers locations? I know I have. That's what I respect and appreciate about this company. They have a very large inventory of both new and used cars for sale. The chances of not finding what you want is very slim in my opinion.
What about financing. Have you ever been in the process of buying a car, and the financing options provided were not what you were looking for? If so, maybe Pacific Nissan can help. They offer auto financing services...as well as even car parts that are for sale!

As I mentioned before...I am particularly interested in photoshop these days and the endless possibilities for creativity that it offers. I probably have been spending far too much time playing around with it...but designing is something I enjoy a lot...and creating something from scratch is very rewarding. I recently created this HDTV...it may look simple, but actually took me quite some time. I'm so glad that we have decided to take this site to the next level....touching on many of the important aspects of the technological world. Even though from time to time I may talk about websites that are not necessarily technology related (although the internet is)....I will always come back to my passion of electronics, computers, etc. One of my favorite things to do when I have time, is play around with photoshop. It's so fun to see the creations that can be come up with when given a little patience and creativity.
