Money Making Websites

This is going to be along the lines of making money online. I discuss this with you, because not only is it something that is becoming more and more popular...but it's also a step in technology that has me wondering where we will be in 10 more years....will everyone be working from home at some point?? My sister is a stay at home mom and does a lot of money making online through various opportunities. I'm sure many others who are into technology have found lots of ways to make money, and I'm so proud of her for doing the same. However, I must give her credit...because I don't know that I could sit around all day blogging about a truck accident lawyer or the latest fashion trends just to make a few bucks. I guess blogging for money as a full time job instead of once in a while isn't for all of us. It's great that it's an option for people like her though!

Random Websites

I often find myself messing around online and tend to come across the craziest sites at times!! No joke!! I am the one people come to with questions about all kinds of websites, because they know it is me who has probably gone their first at some point. Some sites are really random...with a wealth of information on the things that interest me about technology, electronics, gaming, etc....while others are completely random! For instance, I came across a site...I suppose you could consider it a site full of useless information that some might actually find interesting. One of the first things I read on there was a Q and A type of section about "sink/float"...like, "do metal washers or birthday candles in a glass sink or float?" I know, it sounds random. It just got me thinking of all the sites out there and how much information is at the tips of our finger tips if we need or want it. Isn't the internet an amazing thing?! I often think how I'd be completely lost without it!

A Technological Background

Having the background in technology that I do... I am often confronted with projects that my family members like me to help them with. For instance, my brother in law has a hidden spy camera that was having some problems and wanted me to take a look at it to get it running. Thankfully it was a simple fix and we got it running in no time. It's time like this that a technological background is helpful.

The Sims

This week my sister, who is quite interested in learning more about The Sims, was asking me all about this video game and everything that it entails. She didn't understand how there could be a game all about life with no competitive edge. I have to say it was actually a clever standpoint that I had never considered before. The Sims is most definitely a popular video game that will undoubtedly continue to catch people's attention for years to come. However, it's odd to think that this type of game would raise so much interest. I wonder what they'll come out with next, the opportunity to even buy term life insurance if you want. What do you think about the Sims? Is it something that will soon fade...or will it be around for quite some time?

New Vizio 47 inch TV

In looking at many large television options I found that Vizio is probably my favorite and the one that I will choose more than anything else. I have great experience with this brand. In fact, I recently upgraded my 42 inch to a 47 inch 1080p HDTV. It was quite the pricey purchase, but along with my new leather discount furniture...it was well worth the buy. So far there has been nothing to complain about with the Vizio brand. I'd love to hear what your experiences are with it...

Our New Look

Ok, so your honest opinion...what do you think of our new banner?? It took some planning and a lot of time, but we finally got it up and running. It took a bit longer than I had hoped it would...but the good news is that it's there and hopefully there to stay! The part that took the longest was deciding what to put in the banner. I have a sister who is really good at blog design as well, and she was joking with me about making it a girl friendly blog...with a gold anklet on there, etc. I obviously said "no way" and hope she was kidding. Anyways....I feel like having it up makes the new direction this blog is taking, official! Hopefully the content will continue to bring you back wanting more PS Informant as it has in the past. Let me know what you think of our new look!

KVM Switch

The KVM Switch is something we're hearing more and more about in the technology world. A KVM (keyboard video mouse)switch is useful in networks where one keyboard, one mouse and a video connect to a number of computers. There are single and multi-user switches available so that one can control many computers from one access point. I think it's great that our technology is so advanced that we can not control multiple servers from one keyboard. What do you think? What I think is most impressive is that a KVM switch can help you to save space, increase productive behavior in the work place, decrease the amount of money spent on hardware, and so much more! It's easy to forget or take for granted the many benefits technology has given us these days! Where would we be without it!?!

What will you find here?

With this new mindset in taking PS Informant to the next level, I want to make sure to draw readers in by offering them information they otherwise may never come across. Information found here will be interesting and informative. You won't find ads and conversation all over the place about alcohol rehab or ways to lose weight. Those are terrific topics of conversation, just not relevant for this site. I want to stay focused on content...technology, software, electronics, and more.

In-Game Advertising and More

This is a topic I've discussed before and am bringing it up again due to the controversial debate that surrounds it. What do you think of advertising on social networking sites, mobile phones and video games?? Personally I think there's a time and a place for advertising. I don't mind it on websites of any kind, but on mobile phones and video games...I feel it's a bit intrusive. I know that there are many who agree with this, but like me...are willing to put up with it for the free content that comes along with it. I suppose the two do go hand in hand. I'd like to hear what you think?

New Software For Online Business Meetings

As always, I some how manage to come across fantastic software opportunities. Recently the website Wiredred.com fell into my lap, with the information they provide on web and video conferencing software and services. This is perfect for business to business online meetings! I enjoy sharing great software and services like this with you because technology and software are my main points of interest and topics I discuss often. I wanted to share this site with you because I know the readers of this blog have an interest in learning about web and video conferencing applications, as well as outstanding software options as much as I do! The good news, this site is perfect for us then! The have it all. I also found some great information for those who use Windows...as they have resources about windows compatible webcams, headsets and more. I could go on and on about how impressed I was with this website and their WiredRed Software, but you definitely will find even more useful information on their very user-friendly site today. Take a moment and see what you think.

Redesign Takes Time

Once again I appreciate your feedback on the new content we are adding to this blog. I also appreciate your patience as we get the ball rolling. What do I mean? Well, whenever you have a change on a website, there is time involved in making it the way you had envisioned it to be. That is what is happening right now with PS Informant, and unfortunately this process takes time. I apologize for not posting more frequently, especially on our favorite topics of gaming and hardware. However, I can assure you that the project is almost finished and I will be back full force.

A Must Read-Boxing

Today I got to thinking about gaming...go figure... and the types of games I like to play. There are so many options out there, I'm sure everyone has their favorites, right?! Well, I don't know about you...but some of the best ones are those which involve competitive sports. Like boxing! As I got to thinking about this more, it quickly came to my attention on the news, that one of the greatest boxers of all time, Oscar De La Hoya, will be back for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather in September (13th or 20th-TBA)...reported by Golden Boy Promotions' CEO Richard Schaefer to ESPN...and I thought it was definitely worth passing along! As someone who not only likes to play games involving this sport...but enjoys it in person even more...I am here to tell you that getting tickets to this event is on my top priority list right now! Who would want to miss this?! I definitely felt that this story in the news was worth sharing..as I'm sure there are many just as excited as I am about the big event!! For more information on Mayweather vs De La Hoya tickets you can check out Team One Tickets today!!

IT Planet

I'm often on the lookout for great deals on different electronic devices. Whether it be cameras, computers, or something else...discount hardware is on the top of my list. I'm sure anyone as interested in technology as I am has heard of IT Planet before?! They offer discount hardware for businesses, like the one I work for. I've even heard about them in the news they're so well known! They have a large variety of things available...even label printers and security cameras like the Panasonic CCTV camera. In going with this technological path I'm taking with my blog, I wanted to share IT Planet with readers and give you the chance to learn more about them if you haven't already.

New Categories

I began this blog with the intention to keep it primarily about the topics of Playstation and gaming topics. However, with time I have come to realize that this site would be a perfect opportunity for us to expand our subject matter and add a few more categories in the mix. I will still discuss gaming and media like news...but don't be surprised if in the near future you see that I have also added a little bit of my favorite subjects...like technology, software, websites, etc. I enjoy writing on these subjects...letting people know the updates in the world of technology...not only in gaming but in other areas as well. Stay tuned...

Wanting a Wii

It's amazing how little you think someone may know about technology or gaming systems...and then all of a sudden they surprise you! I was visiting with my sister recently and out of no where she informed that she'd LOVE to own a Wii at some point! I couldn't believe what I was hearing...this is my sister who I didn't think would have any interest in anything to do with video games. As we got talking though, her interest stems from the uniqueness of the gaming system...like many others do. She would like to have games that were more interactive...something that she and her family could do together! I thought this was great and shared with her my own interest in the Wii and desire to have one sometime soon. The thing keeping us both from purchasing this amazing unit is the price...as with other gaming systems however...my prediction is that it's price too, will fall greatly over the next year or so.

Take-Two to reject higher EA bid

We all know about the EA and Take-Two Interactive takeover attempt by now, and the issue doesn't show any signs of slowing down. According to gaming industry watchbird Michael Pachter, Electronic Arts will be able to get an approval by the FTC within the next two months, and attempt to strike a deal with Take-Two with a higher offer. This offer will be shot down.

But of course, Pachter still holds his grim prediction that if Take-Two keeps on holding its fort (and keeping EA at bay), it won't be all roses for the company that came up with the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto 4. According to him, once Take-Two achieves its estimated 12 million copies for this year, the record would be "difficult to exceed next year."

So what's going to happen in the next few months? Here's Pachter's take on things: Ultimately, we think EA will make a deal happen...We believe that once EA walks away and no other bidders materialize, it will be able to allow all parties to cool their heels, and will be able to come back and complete the deal at a reasonable price.

What exactly is the mentioned "reasonable price"? Pachter said that Take-Two shareholders can expect a US 27.54 offer, two dollars higher than its current bid.
