Upping the ante in Devil May Cry 4

Granted, this isn't the first time that Hiroyuki Kobayashi has been interviewed regarding Devil May Cry 4 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) - he's been asked about everything from Nero to Dante to the Devil May Cry 4cross-platform move.

This time, however, Kobayashi talked about something different: his personal drive for raising the bar
in Devil May Cry 4. While Kobayashi-san didn't work on Devil May Cry 3, he wants Devil May Cry 4 to turn out even better.

According to Kobayashi, he isn't concerned with how Devil May Cry 4 will compete with other action titles; rather his focus is on how it will surpass its predecessors. As Mr. Kobayashi put it:

am not really pressurized or motivated by competing titles. I worked on the original Devil May Cry, so my main aim is to beat the original games, and to refresh Devil May Cry as a series.

Kobayashi also touched on a variety of other topics, such as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriotsand Ninja Gaiden, among others. If you'd like additional info, simply click on the source link below for the full interview.
